Abercus Technical Director Steve Howell contributed to the HPC edition (April 2016) of NAFEMS Benchmark magazine. His article, which considered the use of HPC for undertaking probabilistic explosion assessments, is available for download here.

NAFEMS is the international association for the engineering modelling, analysis and simulation community, focussing on the practical application of numerical engineering simulation techniques such as finite element analysis (FEA), computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and multibody simulation.
There are a number of key strands to NAFEMS, including teaching and training, the PSE (professional simulation engineer) Scheme for the demonstration of professional competence, Verification and validation of simulation methods, and the organisation of national and international conferences to promote exchange of ideas.
Abercus is an active member of the NAFEMS CFD and analysis management working groups.
